Institute of Polymers

Flow induced crystallization of polymer melts is a common phenomenen found in various processing techniques of polymers, such as injection moulding, film blowing, and extrusion, and thus has a significant influence on the properties of the final products. Shear induced crystallization of polymer melts has been studied both experimentally and theoretically by Janeschitz-Kriegl et al. This talk is going to give a brief review on the work by Janeschitz-Kriegl et al.
