Hairy Nanopores

Yitzhak Rabin

Department of Physics, Bar-Ilan University

I will present a study of nanopores in solid membranes, with polymer chains grafted over the inner surface. We examine the effects of various length scales such as pore length and diameter and polymer length, as well as the effect of solvent, on the morphology of the hairy pore. We also consider electrostatic phenomena in nanopores with grafted polyelectrolytes, under the action of potential gradients.
