Nonlinear effects in the electrophoresis of a spherical colloidal particle

In our labs people study phase transitions of complex and simple fluids, at very high pressures, oil applications, and develop nano and meso porous materials, through combinatorial catalysis tools. Molecular engineering for anti corrosives design is another area of interest. Other areas are, of course, quantum molecular dynamics, classical simulation (Monte Carlo, Molecular and Brownian Dynamics) and equilibrium and non-equilibrium many body theory. My Program has around 100 scientists and the IMP, around four thousand. However, this includes a large number of engineers that give services to various industries. The IMP do not get government money, it is self-supported. One of the objectives of my trip and my Conference is to learn more about the different aspects of the Molecular Engineering. I am convinced that a lab on polymer and supramolecular chemistry could help us much to do good science and technology.
