10 :15 at ML J 21A model for the description of polydisperse polymeric systems is developed. A comparison with experimental results on model bidisperse systems in fast shear and uniaxial flows is provided. The influence of melt composition on the characteristic rheological parameters is discussed and an explanation is provided based on the chain stretching dynamics of the individual species. Finally the insight obtained from the current model may help to provide a better understanding of the flow induced crystallization process. Modelling of polydisperse polymeric systems
