Silicones: An Industrial Research Perspective

The seminar provides an overview on poly dimethyl siloxane, covering the main properties and several examples of industrial applications. Modifications of silicone performances can be achieved in combination with polysesquioxanes (RSiO3/2). The structure of these compounds will be discussed.
